We are local people who all live in and around Leeds. We want to encourage swing dancing in Yorkshire. Here's a little information about each of us.
Anthony
originally learnt to lindy hop in 1994 with Simon Selmon & Warren
Hayes
at the 100 Club, Oxford Street, London.
In 1998 Anthony moved to Yorkshire and after much searching found Joyce's
swing jive class. Since 2003 he has helped Joyce at Swing Jive
Leeds and now DJ's at Lindy Hop Heaven's Swing Dances.
Elaine
originally learnt to dance in 2005 at a local rock n roll class
based in Horbury.
In 2006 Elaine decided to learn lindy hop so that when she visited
1940s weekends she could dance and look the part. Since finding Joyce's swing classes
Elaine has never looked back and has made lots of new friends and of
course learnt how to lindy hop. Elaine now organises and runs Lindy
Hop Heaven Swing Dances.
